Giving Your Body A Little Time Out

 Sometimes with the fast pace that a lot of us are living by and the fact that convenience foods are so convenient it is sometimes hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle, often we are working long hours and not having enough sleep to function properly, some people can carry on for a while thinking they really do not need much sleep to function but the inevitable will happen and one day their bodies will tell them that enough is enough.

They may start to pick up infections like colds and coughs more, meaning their immune system is not working as it should, they may feel very lethargic or even have mood swings and become stressed easily.  Apart from all these obvious ailments it is also common for people’ s hair and nails to also suffer from lack of sleep.

So even if you do lead a very stressful and hectic lifestyle you really must take some time out and try and have a time of relaxation and also to have enough sleep is vital for your body to function correctly, most people will think that they do not have the time to slow down but unfortunately in the end their body’s will slow them down until they are no longer able to keep the pace and then they are forced to take time out.

One of the biggest silent killers that anyone who leads a very stressful life can become victim to is high blood pressure, because high blood pressure can go unnoticed for a long time and yet it can have a devastating effect on your body whereby it can result in a stroke.  So take a little time out of your hectic life to sit and relax and more importantly recharge your batteries.

Whilst we are asleep our body is actually repairing itself and also recharging the organs so it is vital that we do have enough sleep, you will notice that once you are having a good night’s sleep you will feel able to undertake more chores, you moods will be very good and of course your hair, eyes, nails, skin etc will also benefit and look healthier.

If you do not have time to cook lots of healthy meals and often have to resort to convenience foods, make sure that you include plenty of fresh fruit as snacks in your diet, bananas are a brilliant source of energy food and full of fibre which will help your digestive system.

Today of course there are more options on convenience food where manufacturers are now bringing out healthy option meals that are convenient so when shopping make sure you try and pick the healthiest choice of meals.

So as you can see even when leading a hectic lifestyle you can still help your body cope that little bit better by at least turning to the healthier options whenever you can, give yourself an extra hours sleep each night, and above all try and relax even if for only an hour a day, you will find that your body will welcome that time.
