Starting Healthy Habit Whilst Very Young
It is important to try and instil into young children the importance of healthy living and you really do not need to get technical or boring when trying to teach them healthy lifestyle ways. The younger you are when you start to live a healthy lifestyle then the better the effect will be on your body it will also help prevent certain conditions happening later on in life such as heart and lung disease or having to cope with weight loss diets which is one of the biggest killers but one that can normally have been easily prevented by a healthier diet and a little exercise.
How can we encourage our Children to stay Healthy?
Exercise is a wonderfully good habit for any child to have, by making sure that they exercise regularly will ensure that their body’s will stay healthy and as a good habit to have they have a good chance of maintaining that habit throughout their lives.
Positive thinking is also a big advantage to have and people who have a positive attitude will face what life brings them in a much better way, illnesses have been known to have been combated quicker because the patient had a more positive mental attitude and this will also help in other areas of your child’s life.
Encourage an appropriate bedtime one that will ensure that your child will have the correct amount of sleep per night, this is so important as this is the time our children’s body will use for growing and staying healthy, so don’t give in to late nights because you child does not want to go to bed, by starting a good bedtime routine early, your child will be more receptive to the idea.
Teaching them a good basic hygiene is always a good start because then they will be less likely to become prone to infections. Washing their hands before they eat and after they visit the bathroom is an extremely good habit to have and there are some adults today that would also benefit from remembering these habits.
So the best present you can ever give your child is the chance for a healthy life, from the very early days of relying on you to provide their food until they are old enough to hopefully remember your advice when making their own decisions, all of this will go some way to helping them enjoy a healthy life right through into their senior years, after all is that not what parent s are for, to help guide and teach our children to live happy healthy lives.
